In
the early 1980's personal computers were starting
to appear in small businesses and homes. Paul Dunn
founded Dunn-Rite Industries in 1983 to incorporate
these popular tools into automation and business management.
With 20 years of experience in the computer and automation
industries, Paul believed the time was right to forge
a new type of manufacturers representative organization.
The
goal to integrate the personal computer into automation
and quality control was a new concept that often required
the end-user to affect their own integration. The
sources for total integration were very few except
when purchasing a totally automated production system.
Paul's concept then, as it is today is to represent
the finest manufacturers available in select areas
and with local talent assist or provide the end-user
with integration. This transformed the representative
from a component salesperson to a professionally trained
engineer.
Then
in 1987, A.J. Phillips Co. was acquired and merged
with Dunn-Rite Industries to form Dunn-Rite Associates,
Inc. Taking the best of both companies and paring
to select products, Dunn-Rite proudly represents leaders
in automation, quality verification, and data networking. |
